Ok I get it now

So the reason why I didn't want to take pics of my stash is because I know I have way too much, its embarassing. More than I will ever use, considering I don't wear much makeup to begin with. I joined being part of the authors of this blog over the weekend and I have already learned alot. I appreciate the support you all give each other.

While my husband and son were away over the weekend for my son's baseball tournament, which I normally go to but I had stay home, I took the opportunity to take out some of my stash and take pics of it. So far I have done my lipglosses and blushes and highlighters. I already knew I had way more than I will ever use but I learned that while I was taking them all out and going through them I remembered/learned what exactly some of them were colour wise. I had forgotten about some of them. So now I have those two stashes on my computer and phone, in case I end up somewhere wanting to buy a new gloss or blush, I can remind myself I am not lacking in either department.

I will definately continue to take pics of the rest of my stash and post them for you all to see, and to open my eyes.

  1. I completely agree that taking pictures of your stash can certainly open your eyes to.

When I finally was able to put my hands on some highlighters myself... I was very comfortable saying, 'I don't need anymore. These will fit the bill every time.'

But I will admit I have an e/s problem. Even without hauling, I am still hoarding. I cant seem to let them go....

I am so glad that you did take a good look at your stash and was able to see that maybe you need to stop buying because you have enough not just because you have been spending too much.

Keep up the good work. AND OMG I cannot wait to see your stash pics. :D

  2. I'm glad that you took the step to take stash pictures. Stash pics with writing down all my MU purchases in a notebook works great too!

When you take out all your stash, you suddenly realize the duplicates you have & how much you really have. The idea of sticking some beside your com is a great idea! :D This way, you'll see the dupes before you get new stuff!

As for the MU purchases tallying, I personally like writing things down. You can do this with excel or some other software program. Once you consciously start writing things down as you buy them, you start realizing how much you spent each month! Plus, you get to see your MU spending patterns.

Good luck in your ongoing quest!
